Farming is just as important as chasing cups. Lower your trophies to be matched with weaker opponents. Bring your townhall outside walls so people will just go for that and run, wont touch your loot and get a shield.
You get less raidable loot with a higher town hall. Max the hell out of each townhall before upgrading your townhall. Your base should look like this for townhall 9 before upgrading to th 10.
